NHS Walk-in centres offer fast and more convenient access to local NHS advice, information and treatment. They do not replace local G.P. or hospital services but compliment them. All Services, treatments and consultations are given by qualified NHS nurses without the need for an appointment. As well as offering treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, the Centre liaises closely with mental health assessment teams, and can either help someone with mental health issues/problems or refer them to an appropriate service. It is open from 7.00am to 10.00pm seven days a week. There is disabled access and parking.

The Samaritans have trained volunteers who will listen to people who are distressed, in despair or contemplating suicide, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.All calls charged at the local rate. They will offer a sympathetic, non-judgmental listening ear. The service is mainly by telephone, however people are able to visit the branch by arranging an appointment in advance. This branch covers Peterborough and the surrounding area, plus Bourne, Stamford, March, Wisbech, Oundle and Spalding.

A national out-of-hours mental health helpline that provides accurate and up-to-date information to give callers options for action and to encourage them to benefit from whatever network of care that exists in their own area. Saneline also offers emotional and crisis support to anyone with mental health problems/concerns - families, friends, professionals and organisations working in the field of mental health. Callers can also be put in touch with services in their area; receive details on current medical and psychological treatments; and be advised on their legal rights and current mental health legislation. The Helpline is staffed by fully trained volunteers. An interpreting service is available to clients whose first language is not English. All calls are charged at the local rate, and the lines are open 365 days of the year from 12noon - 2am
